Solar Energy Policy

To meet the demand of increasing energy supply in the state, the state government is committed to use different sources of energy. In view of this, state government on January 23, 2013 convened a cabinet meeting and solar energy policy was approved in this meeting, which is a progressive step for the overall development of the state. Solar power projects to be set up under the Solar energy policy will increase private investment of the state on one hand and shall make the non-agricultural and barren land available in Bundelkhand, productive and shall lead to production growth and employment opportunities on the other. The policy will be effective till March 2017 and in the period of 500 MW solar projects are intended to be installed. The installed solar projects shall be provided with special promotion by the state for example one two power projects with installed capacity of 200 MW and two the electricity rate for 12-year PPA to be executed for the amount

Rooftop Solar PV Ppwer Plant Policy

To provide seamless electricity supply often D.G. set is used from private / public buildings, industrial firm and commercial firm buildings. These D.G. sets are in the capacity of MW to KW. In the case of rooftop solar photovoltaic power installation on the roofs of such buildings the energy produced by these plants can be used by consumers in the building and in the case of surplus energy it can be injected into the grid. From Grid connected rooftop Solar PV Power Plant work can be done on the basis of net metering . Consumers can make payment to Discom according to the net meter reading. State policy of Rooftop Solar Power Plant for setting up rooftop solar power plant on Individual, institutional and government buildings has been promulgated in 2014-15. Installation of total 20 MW grid connected Solar Power Plant is targeted till the operation period of the policy March 2017.

Wind Draft Policy

Electric power and its easy availability is an established benchmark of development and an essential prerequisite for all-round prosperity. No major economic activity can be sustained without adequate and reliable source of power. In view of the fact that the conventional sources of power are fast depleting and pose a threat of environment pollution too, the challenge before the State Government is not only to meet the ever growing demand for power but also to progressively increase the share of renewable sources in the power-mix so as to achieve overall energy security.
