Energy Conservation Day was celebrated on 14th December 2022 by SDA Daman and Diu by organizing a one day seminar on Energy Conservation and Energy Efficiency at Electricity Department, Daman. The objective of the programme was to spread awareness on the importance of Energy Conservation and Efficiency.

The programme was chaired by Chief Executive Officer, SDA Daman and Diu. There were around 200 participants from various industries in Daman along with officials of Electricity Department and DNHDD PDCL. Awareness and key points on energy savings and conservation was shared during the programme. Saving electricity, optimizing usage of vehicle fuel, water savings, benefits of using star rated equipments, etc were discussed. During the session, the need on individual contribution towards energy conservation was explained emphasizing the national goal of India.
