On 26th September 2019, SDA Daman and Diu organized Capacity Building Workshop on Energy Efficiency in Building Sector at Diu for Hotel sector, MSME sector, Electrical contractors and Engineers of Diu Department. The basic objective of the workshop is to promote and propagate energy efficiency and energy conservation in all sectors of the U.T. of Daman and Diu. Priority areas for support will be on energy efficiency, energy conservation, energy management, promotion and sharing of best practices in energy conservation.

This workshop had given an enhanced knowledge on the technologies of energy efficient equipment like motors, pumps, chillers etc. The one-day training workshop provided a broader perspective of the technical and economic appearances of Energy Efficiency in Lighting, Water heating, HVAC systems, Refrigeration and Chillers, Motors, Compressors & Pumps; Variable frequency drives, Renewable Energy and Introduction to ECBC, Best Practices and Advanced Energy Conservation Technologies/Building Energy Management System (BEMS).
